Life After Touch

I can divide my life into two parts:

  • Before touch
  • After touch

Before touch I worked at technology companies, making videos for computer games, writing stories and making movies. It was fun, but as time went on making games became more and more about staring at the computer screen all day. I was successful but felt that something important was missing.

After touch I remembered myself. I took a series of massage and bodywork classes in California. I woke up early to the sound of the ocean waves. I learned to focus on my hands, to touch other people, to feel the power of the energy in my own body. I felt the life force inside, and I remembered the “endless now.”

And that started a series of adventures, into a world of feeling instead of thinking. A world that is still opening to me. I’m not completely there yet—, because sometimes I still think too much, get too tense, and spend too much time on “the other side of the screen.”

And yet…I can now feel the life force in my own body. I can move better, feel better and love better than ever before. Through touch I remembered my self, and I decided to learn bodywork to help pass this gift on to others.

Humans touch. It is our primary sense, our gateway to the life force inside of us. It is our birthright to experience touch, energy, love, nature, passion and the senses.

It brings us alive. It makes us who we are.

And no matter how far we get from this truth, no matter how lost or lonely or sad, the gateway is always open, waiting for us to walk through.

Even if you feel your life has grown heavy and difficult, you can jump into a warm river of life and passion, at any moment, swim as long as you want, then jump in again and again.

And live again!

In Touch.
